Just a quick reminder that our spring Family Camping weekend at Camp Cachalot is fast approaching! Cachalot will be open Memorial Day Weekend for members of the Alumni Association and their families beginning at 4:00pm Friday, May 22nd, 2009 (you must plan to depart by 11am on Monday, May 25th, 2009). Sites are for tents only, as Cachalot is not equipped or permitted for campers, and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
While there is no fee for the weekend, you must be a registered member of the Alumni Association to attend (or part of a member's family). We'd also appreciate an RSVP. You may RSVP for the weekend by sending email to familycamping@cachalotalumni.org. Please let us know how many will be coming, if you think you'll be able to help with the service project (see below), and what days you plan on attending.
You must be a currently-active member of the Association to attend. You can register or renew online by visiting our Membership page here. If you have any question as to whether you're currently active, email membership@cachalotalumni.org with your question.
This time around we plan on cleaning and painting the winter cabins near the Guilmette Ranger's Residence as our service project. Participation is optional, but any help you're willing to provide is, as always, greatly appreciated.
