Over the past few days of summer like heat in the a.m. when I go to work if I close my eyes I can almost feel like I'm getting ready to go to line up. Is there anyone else who has the same feeling Question Question

How about your heart stopping every time you hear a gong-like sound. It took several years to wear off. I think I'm good now.

Once, in college, during an 8AM class (linear algebra, not that that really matters) I'm sitting in my chair trying desperately to stay awake until the caffeine kicks in, when my still-foggy mind registers a <gong><gong><gong>...<gong><gong><gong>...

I leap to my feet, start to reach for the collar of my shirt, get ready to run for the waterfront... then, with half of the class looking at me, realize where I am, shoot a sheepish grin back, and sit back down. Just somebody out in the hallway rapping on a fire extinguisher.

I still get that little adrenaline surge when I hear a gong, but I give it a little thought before I break out running these days... Very Happy
