If you tried to visit the site late yesterday and were unable to reach it, our apologies.

One of the other sites hosted on the same group of servers as cachalotalumni.org fell victim to a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack yesterday, which unfortunately flooded us as well. Basically, that means that a large group of machines was being used to make a huge number of requests to the server, consuming all of the available resources and preventing anything else from getting through.

(Welcome to the modern internet... <sigh>. Some people really need hobbies.)

Things appear to be back up and running again this morning.
